Funeral Director or
Funeral Director/Embalmer – Full Time

We are an established family owned and operated Funeral Home looking for a mature employee to ensure that the families we serve experience empathy, care and a positive experience during their difficult time.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct all aspects of funeral arrangements, including meeting with families to discuss their needs, preferences, and budgetary considerations.

• Assist families in choosing the right merchandise to meet the needs of the services they have chosen.

• Arrange and facilitate visitation services and funeral services making sure that attention to detail is of upmost importance, creating a seamless service for all attendees.

• Must always be respectful towards all other staff members and coworkers to ensure an environment that is positive for all employees.

• To maintain integrity, honesty, professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions with families, colleagues, and the community.

• Performs other duties, as assigned. This description does not cover a comprehensive list of all duties. This would be discussed in further detail at time of interview and/or at time of hire

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience

• Effective interpersonal skills

• The ability to read/write and speak English fluently

• Ability to work well on a team as well as alone with little to no supervision

• Ability to multitask

• Effective time management skills

• Proficient computer skills

• Professional and intelligent communication skills

• Must be available to work on a rotating schedule - must be available to work on weekends

• Must be thorough and attentive to detail

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure:

• Must have a valid Funeral Director or Funeral Director/Embalmer licence

• Possess a valid driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract

• Current Police Background Check

• Must be in good standing with the AFSRB
